1. Day Tour to Stone Forest
The Stone Forest or Shilin (Chinese: 石林; pinyin: Shílín) is a notable set of karst formations located in Shilin Yi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, approximately 100 kilometres from the provincial capital Kunming. The tall rocks seem to emanate from the ground in the manner of stalagmites, with many looking like petrified trees thereby creating the illusion of a forest made of stone. Since 2007, two parts of the site, the Naigu Stone Forest (乃古石林) and Suogeyi Village (所各邑村), have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites as part of the South China Karst.[1]
2. Day Tour to Stone Forest & Jiuxiang Cave
Among the scenic sites specializing in karst landscape, Jiuxiang scenic area is the closest one from Kunming , the capital of Yunnan province. In the scenic area, there are over 100 karst caves of different Sizes, and Jiuxiang is confirmed to be the biggest cave clusters in China with the greatest number of caves and most wonderful in-cave scenic . The cave clusters are listed as one of the national-level key scenic areas. Jiuxiang scenic area is located in jiuxiang township which is inhabited by the Yi and Hui ethnic groups of Yiliang County of Knming municipality. The scenic area is only 90 kilometers from provincial capital Kunming.
3. Day Tour to Anning Hot Spring
Anning Hot Spring is a famous tourist attraction and holiday resort near Kunming, located at the foot of Yuquan Mountain about thirty-eight kilometers from the city center. It is endowed with lush trees, graceful mountains and peaceful surroundings perfect for bathing and relaxing. Anning Hot Spring is said to have been discovered during the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 41 - 44) and thus has a history of nearly 2,000 years. The water of the plentiful spring is crystal clear and of outstanding quality. Throughout the year, the water temperature varies between 40ºC and 50ºC and is always free of the odor of sulfur. With a variety of minerals and trace elements, Anning Hot Spring is reported to be very effective against many diseases, such as the aftereffects of injuries, gastric ulcers, insomnia, dermatitis, chronic gastritis, and so on. It is traditionally regarded in China as the “finest hot spring under Heaven.”
